As a base layer in the field in our Winter months, I wear the Thermaflow pants. These are warm and have plenty of stretch. The moisture wicking material makes them dry and easy to wear. Matching this I have the Thermaflow Top. The Spika socks keep my feet warm and super comfy in my boots. They have plenty of flex and beefed-up points where the main wear and impact would occur. They’re also quick drying and flexible.
My mid layer consists of the Xone Pants and the Guide Lightweight Top. These pants have plenty of stretch and allow for good movement in the field. When walking long distance or in steep country, the side vented zip areas help dispense the heat quickly. Having front, side and rear pockets there are plenty of places to store the things you need at arm’s reach. The Guide light top is my favourite. This top has plenty of ventilation and allows full movement in the field. In South Australia, the Summer and Spring months are quite warm here, making this top usable all year round.

As for my top layer, I love the Go Classic Hoodie, but I have a new favourite in the Highpoint Shell Jacket. The warmth and comfort of this jacket is second to none. The pockets are generous on the front chest and two pockets at the waist area. The under-arm pit zips are great when pushing hard for dumping heat. The hood on the jacket gives extra protection against wind and rain too. When the weather turns south and your miles from the Ute, I have the Buckland Jacket in my pack to throw over, especially because it’s 100% waterproof and breathable, lightweight and easy to carry, it’s a must in the pack during Winter. At camp after a days hunting just sitting around the fire or making dinner. A good puffer jacket like Chase Puffer. Both have there place at camp.
I am wearing the Zamberlan Storm GTX CF, these boots are light weight at only 550 grams. I am super impressed by these boots, particularly as they are waterproof and hard wearing. They are super comfy, I would recommend these to anyone. I walk long kilometres in the field, so I need good reliable footwear.
